This bold ring is set with a massive sugar loaf of red copal. The dramatic dimensions of this ring make a statement. The oval gem is set with a north/west orientation and has a very high profile. The body of the ring is a silver-tone base metal, engraved with a beautiful scalloped design. The shank tapers dramatically from the shoulders to a wide, flat band. This ring embodies bohemian glamour. Circa 1960.

Copal is hardening tree resin that is nearly amber; hardened, but not fully fossilized. Copal is usually found in subtropical countries.

Details.....Ring is a size 9. It cannot be sized. The top of the ring measures 18.4mm by 45.5mm and the band is 9mm wide. The profile stands 32.2mm off the finger. In Very Good Vintage Condition.
